Sara Peggs Jeter, 56, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

She was born on July 19, 1967, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Dr. Carl Peggs and Sharon Anderson Peggs.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, whom she married on August 25, 2007, William “Bill” Jeter; mother, Sharon Peggs; sister, Beth Edwards (Randy); brother, Andy Peggs (Lisa); nieces, Abby Paciotti (Tony), Lauren Brown (Mike), and Carly Sweet (Justin); nephew, Jacob Edwards; great nieces, Gemma, Ava, and Rilley; and her pooch, Pierce.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, at Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Pitts and Rev. Dr. Terry Moore officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

The family would like to thank all the loving caregivers at the Gordon Hospice House for the special care they gave Sara, and Pastor Mark Pitts for his devoted visits.
