Terry Davis Stonestreet, 65, of Mooresville, N.C., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 13, 1957, in Statesville, N.C., to the late Thomas Glenn Davis and Virginia Poole Davis Stewart. Terry enjoyed the many years that her family lived on the lake, where she became an excellent water skier. She also enjoyed boating, cooking, watching birds, and her flower garden. She had a strong faith in God and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Davis, William Davis, Jerry Davis; and her sisters, Nancy Davis and Becky Wiggill.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, David M. Stonestreet; children, John Michael Stonestreet and fiancée Avery Davis, Ashley Stonestreet Barlow and husband Patrick; sister, Sarah Davis Germer; and grandchildren, Lucas Michael Stonestreet, Colton Michael Stonestreet, Caden Patrick Barlow, and Nora Katlyn Barlow.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Eddie Karriker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
