Harold Lloyd Brown, 82, of Harmony, N.C., passed away September 16, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

Harold was born November 5, 1940, in Warrenton, N.C., and was the son of the late Paul Wade Brown and Mabel Johnson Collins Brown. He was a graduate of Troutman High School, and in 1962 he married Ann Summers Brown, who survives. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver for Douglas & Sons Inc.

In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by one son, Lane Harold Brown (Nina) of Harmony; one daughter, Lori Brown Ketchie (Randell) of Statesville; six grandchildren, Dylan Brown (Brooke), Dallas Brown, Keri Ketchie, Megan Ketchie, Hunter Ketchie, and Davis Brown; and two sisters, Hazel Willis (Paul) of Kenbridge, Va., and Holly Prue of Cambridge, Md.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Shearin and Earl Shearin; and one sister, Violet Rose Shearin.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Tomlin and Rev. Dennis Shaw officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
