Gloria Stella Maziarz, 86, of Statesville, N.C., and formerly of Norristown, Pa., passed away Monday, October 2, 2023.
She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on December 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Frances (Gladkowski) Borowik. She graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia, Pa. Gloria worked for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit for 30 years until retirement.
She was pre-deceased by her loving sister, Marie (Borowik) Rejniak; a grandson, James Christopher Smith; and her husband, Francis J. Maziarz.
Gloria married Francis (Frank) J. Maziarz in 1957. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maria (Maziarz) and Jeffrey W. Smith, her daughter Noel Maziarz, her son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Linda (Nave) Maziarz, her son and daughter-in-law Erec and Patricia (Giatris) Maziarz, her daughter and son-in-law Holly (Maziarz) and Michael DiCarlo, and her son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Mary Ann (Fiorentino) Maziarz, along with 17 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Titus RC Church of East Norriton, Pa., until her recent move to Statesville, N.C. She had a very deep faith and relationship with God, and enjoyed her time of service as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Titus for many years. She loved making hand-made quilts for her family.
Gloria was an excellent cook, and took pride in passing down traditional Polish recipes for generations to come. She was happy to watch the butterflies and hummingbirds that flocked to the garden flowers. She was kind, loving and gentle to everyone whose life she touched.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. from St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at St. Titus RC Church, 3006 Keenwood Road, East Norriton, PA. Entombment will be private.
