The Town of Mooresville is partnering once again with Welcome Home Veterans Living Military Museum and Richard’s Coffee Shop for this year’s Veterans Week celebrations. Unless otherwise noted below, all events are open to the public.
Monday, November 6
Flag Processional & Ceremony
9 a.m.
Details: Meet in front of Richard’s Coffee Shop (165 N. Main Street) for a Main Street processional to Town Hall (413 N. Main Street).
Tuesday, November 7
Military Body Art
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Details: Join Mooresville Public Library at Richard’s Coffee Shop as local veterans share the stories behind their tattoos.
Thursday, November 9
“Be Someone’s Hero” Blood Drive
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Details: An American Red Cross bus will be parked at Richard’s Coffee Shop. Appointments are encouraged! Visit OneBlood.org/Donate-Now and search for this event to sign up.

Veterans Breakfast (hosted by Top of the Lake Rotary Club)
8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Details: Veterans and their families are invited to attend this annual free breakfast at the American Legion Post (165 N. Main Street). This event is limited to veterans and family members.

Military Authors Book Signing & Presentation
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Details: Meet at Richard’s Coffee Shop for a special presentation by veteran authors.

Glenwood Park Memorial Ceremony
11 a.m.
Details: Pay your respects to local Veterans at this annual ceremony at Glenwood Memorial Park (273 Glenwood Drive, Mooresville).

One Nation Under God Luncheon (hosted by the Exchange Club of Mooresville/Lake Norman)
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Details: Each veteran and a plus one are invited to attend this annual free luncheon at Richard’s Coffee Shop. This event is limited to veterans and one guest.

Veterans Day Parade
1 p.m.
Details: The community is encouraged to attend the 2023 Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Mooresville to honor our local veterans. The parade begins at 1 p.m. outside of Town Hall and will end at the intersection of Main Street and McLelland Avenue. Main Street will be closed to traffic before and during the parade. Camo Up 5K
8 a.m.
