Harold “JR” Monroe White Jr., 64, of Statesville, N.C., died Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House following a short illness. He was born in Lee County, N.C., to the late Harold M. White Sr. and Ruth Matthews White. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Solesbee.

JR worked for The Detail Spot. He enjoyed his work there. He was a huge Tar Heels fan and loved sports, especially basketball, baseball, and football. He was a San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include four daughters, Allison Michaels of Germany, Briana White of California, Jordan White of Colorado, Amber White Galeazzi (Blake) of Colorado, a son, Michael White of California, two sisters, Tappy Keiger of Statesville and Sheila Coryea of Virginia, a number of nieces and nephews, Amy Hendry, Crystal Cabrera, Andrea Mebane, RJ Vanhoy, Johnny Wicker, and Bonnie Wicker, and the mother of his children, Kristina White.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the near future.
