Sharon Denise Carson Lackey, 72, of Hiddenite, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2023, in Taylorsville, N.C. Sharon was born February 22, 1951, in Iredell County to the late Kelus D. Carson and Violet Lee Haynes Carson.

She loved music and was an artist. Sharon was a homemaker, and she was a member of the Stony Point United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gary R. Lackey of the home; one daughter, Jessica L. Lackey (Caleb) of Hiddenite; one sister, Melissa C. Vowell (Chris) of Hiddenite; and one granddaughter, Violet Elise Lackey.
