Troy Lee Christian Sr., 68 of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was born on February 14, 1955, in Mingo County, W.Va., to Mason and Maude Browning Christian.

He enjoyed raising rabbits and hunting. Troy loved raising his grandchildren, all of whom called him “Papa.” He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Mayhorn Christian; children, Troy Lee Christian Jr, Alice Nixon (Aaron), and Amanda Tackett (Brian); grandchildren, Kendall, Brianna, Austin, Abigail, Cheyene, Mackenzie, and David.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
