Jesse Willard Parker Jr., 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on December 7, 2023, at
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 27, 1938, in Iredell County to the late Jesse Willard Parker Sr. and Willie Kathleen Isenhour Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandsons, Anthony Johnson and Justin Parker; sisters, Shirley Parker and Barbara Thomas; and brother, Roger Parker.

He retired from Parker Trucking after many years of service. Jesse was a member of Troutman Baptist Church. He enjoyed racing, driving a truck, and going to truck shows. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Peggy Elder Parker; sons, Jeffrey Allen Parker and wife Tammy, and Marcus Wayne Parker; daughter, Trena Parker Johnson; brothers, Jerry Parker and wife Trudy, Larry Parker, Lonnie Parker and Tony Parker and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Brian Johnson and companion Julie, Alex Poole, Michelle Parker and companion Nick Stange, and Jordan Parker and companion Chris Jarrett Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Cooper, Layla, Ryder, and Nolan.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 14, at 12 noon at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Troutman, with Pastor John Stevenson officiating.
