Scot Edward Osborne, 67, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born on September 13, 1956, in Oneida (Madison County), N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward John Osborne and Shirley Ann Hepler Osborne.
Scot was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served his country as an Aircraft Mechanic. He had a passion for custom auto body paint and rebuilds. He loved his vans; one could even describe him as a true “Vanner.” Scot also enjoyed antiques and collecting old model trucks, especially Tonka. Scot worked at Freightliner in Cleveland for 32 years before retiring in May of 2021.
In addition to his parents, Edward John and Shirley Ann Hepler Osborne, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deidre Waters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Diane Dunn Osborne; his daughter, Shannon Osborne; his grandson, Ethan Goodin; sisters, Valerie Valentine (Tim), Laurie Cesario (Tony), and Erin Osborne; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Courtney, Eric, Adam, Kendall, Tim, Josh, Dustin, and MycKenna; many great nieces and great nephews; mother-in-law, Barbara Dunn; and brother-in-law, Fred Dunn (Billie).
No services are planned at his time.
