The Statesville Police Department is investigating the following crime reports:
JANUARY 6
♦ A resident of the 1800 block of Vista Terrace reported a break-in and larceny of numerous possessions, including Timberland boots, an engagement ring, watches, rings, chains, a 35-inch TV, and a .25-caliber Remington pistol.
♦ A Statesville resident reported an arson in the 1000 block of 7th Street.
JANUARY 8
♦ Two Statesville residents reported that a wallet containing credit cards and cash, and a purse containing cash were stolen during a vehicle break-in in the 500 block of Brookdale Drive.
♦ Two residents of the 1300 block of Forest Park Terrace reported a vehicle break-in and larceny of a drivers license.
JANUARY 11-14
♦ The owner of Floyd’s Barbershop on Tradd Street reported a break-in and larceny in which $20, an xBox, xBox games, antique razors and a door key were stolen.
JANUARY 12
♦ A resident of Reid Street reported an assault with a deadly weapon.
JANUARY 13
♦ An employee of Tractor Supply Co. on Crossroads Drive reported a break-in and damage to personal property.
Felony Arrests
The SPD reported the following arrests:
JANUARY 10
♦ Corey Parnell Sims, 50, of Lark Lane, Statesville, charged with attempted murder.
JANUARY 15
♦ Michael Kendrell Stevenson, 38, of Buffalo Shoals Road, Statesville, charged with federal probation violation.
JANUARY 16
♦ Naseem Alaji Wilkes, 19, of Charlotte Road, Statesville, charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
