Sue Creedmore Stevenson, 82, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born August 15, 1941. She was the wife of the late Junius Thomas “Tom” Stevenson and the daughter of the late Arden Creedmore and Lorene Johnson Creedmore.
Sue was a graduate of Harmony High School. She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir there for over 45 years. She was employed as a loan officer for American General Finance. Sue loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Padgett.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Robin Estes (Jeff) and Tammy Fox; her son; Darren Stevenson (Penny); her grandchildren, Kalie Redmond (Dustin), Lindsay Wilkins, Bradley Estes (Elizabeth), and Brandon Estes (Marissa). She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Bryson Dishman, Bexlee Redmond, Riggs Redmond, Everleigh Estes, and Claire Estes.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Concord Presbyterian Church. Family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Sue’s memory to The Benevolence Fund at Concord Presbyterian Church, 3867 Taylorsville Hwy., Statesville, NC 28625.

I am so sorry for the loss of Sue. I have so many memories of us as first cousins and friends. So appreciative that she spent one of her last days visiting my Mom (her Aunt Ruth).
