The City of Statesville is conducting a canned food drive throughout February.
Organizers hope to collect canned food items to support local food pantries and help those in need within the community.
City staff has established convenient drop-off locations, making it easy for residents to participate in this effort.
The following locations will serve as collection points for canned food donations:
♦ Statesville City Hall – 227 S. Center Street
♦ Customer Service Office – 301 S. Center Street
♦ Bentley Community Center – 1410 3rd Street
♦ Statesville Civic Center – 300 S. Center Street
♦ Statesville Fitness & Activity Center – 1875 Simonton Road
♦ Statesville Police Department – 330 S. Tradd Street
♦ Statesville Fire Station 1 – 316 S. Meeting Street
♦ Statesville Fire Station 2 – 110 Security Drive
♦ Statesville Fire Station 3 – 779 Eastside Drive
♦ Statesville Fire Station 4 – 115 Martin Lane
Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable canned food items at any of these locations during February. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families who rely on local food pantries.
The City of Statesville is committed to giving back to the community and fostering a spirit of generosity and support among its residents.
All collected donations will be distributed to local food pantries, ensuring that the food reaches those who need it most within the Statesville community.
“This initiative reflects the caring and compassionate spirit of our community. I am confident that the residents of Statesville will once again come together to make a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate,” Mayor Costi Kutteh said.
