Donna Marie (Gliamas) Bellino, 66, passed away peacefully in her Mooresville, N.C., home, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born April 17, 1957, on Long Island, New York, to the late Dallas and Antoinette (Parenti) Gliamas.
Donna spent 25 years dedicated to serving special needs children as a teacher’s assistant with the Wappingers Central School District in New York. Upon retiring, she and her husband John, aka Augie, moved to Mooresville.
She was known for her incredibly kind heart and the love she shared, not only with her family, but also by those who crossed her path. Some have referred to her as the “neighborhood mom,” as she would look after all her children and their friends. Donna loved spending time attending doo-wop concerts and veterans gatherings with Augie, playing with her grandchildren, and keeping in touch with loved ones. She was also known for a Hallmark movie marathon or two.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory are her loving husband of 36 years, John A. Bellino; children, Michele Orozco (Ricky), Marissa Ward (Nick), John Bellino (Kelli), and Taryn Bordanaro (Thomas); brother, Joseph Gliamas (Annmarie); and grandchildren, Anthony, and Adriana Orozco; Caden Ward; and Giovanni, Carmine, and Sophia Bordanaro.
