Joey Donell Davidson, 62, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born November 19, 1961, in Statesville to the late Raymond Smith and Clara Cowan.

He was preceded in death by a son; Lee Green Jr.; four brothers, James Smith, Calvin Smith, Bobby Davidson, and Nathaniel Davidson; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Williams and David Lee Smyre.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his wife of 27 years, Teresa Davidson; sons, Joey Donell Davidson Jr. and Wesley Davidson (Carol); daughters, Latoya Daniels (Eric) and Oona Burts; brothers, Charles Davidson (Margaret), Donnie Davidson (Melissa), and Raymond Smith; sisters, Peggy Williamson, Gale Millsaps, and Patricia Greene; sister-in-law Beverly Evans; grandchildren, Eric Daniels II, Braylen Daniels, Tyren Daniels, Kashmir Davidson, Kameron Davidson, Wesley Davidson Jr., Kyrie Davidson, Janyah Davidson, Jhorie Davidson, Najsai Burts, and Travis Bryant Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Free Will Family Worship Center. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:30 p.m.
