Martha Sue Cline Webster, 79, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Sue was born April 21, 1944, in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Everette Glenn Cline and Sarrah Lue Bost Cline. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and on April 7, 1960, she married the late Danny Clay Webster, who passed away on December 13, 2021. She was a member of Abilene Church of Christ and was a charter member of the Cool Springs Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a bus driver for Cool Springs and East Iredell Elementary Schools for 24 years. She treated the kids who rode her bus like her own. She was the bus driver on many school field trips all over the state.
She was a seamstress who made countless wedding dresses, prom dresses and clothing of all types for many years, and still did alterations for family and friends until her illness. As kids, our clothes never had a hole in them, well not for long. She was a baker of biscuits, cakes and pies. Sue Webster’s Bakery was a joint effort of Mom and Pop. They worked together in the bakery for many years until Pop passed away in 2021. For the many biscuits and sweets they sold, there were just as many that they gave away. She enjoyed feeding folks and sharing what she had.
She is survived by three sons, Steven Webster (Janet), Paul Webster (Beth), and Andy Webster (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Tiffany W. Warren (Matthew), Bethany Webster, Joshua Webster (Allyssa), Dallas Webster, Sammy Webster, Hailey Glover, and Sam Glover; and four great grandchildren, Olivia Warren, Beau Ryan Webster, Kennon Brooks and Maxton Brooks.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Abilene Church of Christ with Minister Leon Cash and Gary Dull officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to Abilene Church of Christ Cemetery Fund or to the Cool Springs Fire Department. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com.

So sad. My condolences to the family. I knew her for many, many years. She was such a beautiful & talented lady. She was such a good baker & could make an awesome German Chocolate Cake.
Sue and Danny were like family when you met them. Sue’s coconut cake was the best! I worked with them for years inspecting their immaculate kitchen. Rest in peace, Sue, and RISE in glory!
My prayers and thoughts are for the family of this sweet lady. She loved her family and community!
