Chan Henderson Evans, 57, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Accordius Health of Mooresville.

Chan was born on December 24, 1966, in Iredell County to the late Dallas Evans and Barbara Stafford Evans. Chan was in the graduating class of 1985 at North Iredell High School. His hobbies included playing football, coaching, hunting, and go cart racing.

Along with his parents, Chan was preceded in death by his niece, Cassie Medlin.

Those left to cherish the memory of Chan are his siblings, Wendy Hefner (Randall), Nichole Houghton, and Grant Evans, along with his nephews, Jacob Evans, Gage Evans, Dallas Evans, Scott Houghton, and Vince Houghton.

The family will visit with friends Tuesday, February 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
