Debra Lynne Jernigan, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

Debra was born in Iredell County on June 27, 1954, to the late Charles Miller and Doris McCoy Miller. She graduated from North Iredell High School in 1973. After she graduated, she worked as a dental assistant for many years. She married her beloved husband, Charles “Mark” Jernigan in 1981; they were together until his passing in August 2022. Debra loved the Lord and was a member of Rose Chapel Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Scott Miller; sister, Kelly Davis; nephew, Jason Moore; and sister-in-law, Winona Miller.

Debra is survived by her sister, Janet Boseman (Ron); nephews, Ryan Moore and Eric Miller; nieces, Lindsey Grindall, Heather Harvey, Candice Davis and Melissa Sowers; great nephews, Julian Grindall, Jacob Moore, EJ Moore and Bellamy Miller; great nieces, Annabelle Moore, Kacie Moore, Jordan Grindall , Shonda Wallace, Arabella Davis, Aubrey, Serinity, Saydee and Chloe; uncles, Michael Miller (Libby) and Julian Miller; sister-in-law, Marsha J. Harris; cousins, Kim Harmon and sister Sherry Harmon, Tony Black (Shirley), Sam Black (Sherry), Craig Miller (April), Jim Miller, Jerry Miller and Susan Price, Melanie Lucas (Brian).
