Mrs. Joyce Ann Lloyd Gantt, 81, of Pop’s Lake Road, Statesville, N.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, February 18, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House. Joyce was loved by so many people, and she loved with all her heart. She was married to the love of her life, Boyd, for almost 63 years.

Joyce loved her daughter, Lori, and her son-in-law, Mike, tremendously and loved her grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey and her husband Canaan, more than life itself. She loved the outdoors, especially working in her beautiful yard and her flowers. She enjoyed fishing with her husband Boyd and going to the mountains. Joyce also loved running Pop’s Lake for over 30 years.

Joyce had a big beautiful family. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Ruby Lloyd. She had two brothers, Forrest and his wife Martha, and the late Gary and his late wife Rosa; five sisters, Jackie Harmon and her late husband Benny, Carol Hendrix and her late husband Gar, Peggy Clanton and her husband Norman, Brenda Bell and her husband Marion, Pat Kluttz and her husband Wayne; and a loving beautiful family of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Joyce was truly blessed and will be missed so very much.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home with Alan Kerley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Nicholson Funeral Home beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Abilene Church of Christ Cemetery on Bell Farm Road in Statesville.
