Iva Lee Moore Queen, 96, of Troutman, N.C., passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her home.
Iva was born March 19, 1927, in Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Talmadge DeWitt Moore and Gertrude Souther Moore. She attended Cool Springs School and graduated from Scotts School. On October 16, 1948, she married William Glen Queen, who passed away May 4, 2006. She retired from Troutman Industries and was a member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church. She loved working her Jigsaw Puzzles and Word Puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Queen Nantz (Darrell) of Troutman, N.C., and Teresa Queen Jenkins (Guy) of Newport, N.C.; four grandchildren; Angela Wigginton (Ty) of Mooresville, Amanda Nantz (Emily) of Greensboro, Matthew Jenkins of Leland, N.C., Jessica Jenkins of Newport, N.C.; seven great grandchildren, Chase, Cannon, Laila, Mia and Aspen Wigginton, Jace and Copelyn Jenkins and her beloved caregivers, Alice, Julia and Kim.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, DeWitt Moore, Ruby Moore, Geneva Compton, Chester Moore, Dwight Moore and Junior Moore.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Heights Church with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
