Roger Dean Brown, 62, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 23, 1961, in Charlotte, N.C., to Kay Query Brown and the late Kenneth Edward Brown. Roger was a 1979 graduate of North Meck High School. He was owner of B&B Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping Inc. in Mooresville for 35 years. He was a very faithful member for 22 years at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville, where he served as a deacon, usher, and the Upward Basketball coordinator. Roger loved watching Carolina Tar Heels basketball, his cars and lawnmowers, and most importantly spending time with his family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ashley Kaylyn Brown.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 29 years, Karen Armstrong Brown; mother, Kay Query Brown; children, Joshua Brown and wife Emily, Hannah Brown, and Karah Brown; brother, Mark Brown and wife Cheryl; sister, Julie Wally and husband Tim; grandson, Jack Brown; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Aspen.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with a service following at 3:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Dye and Rev. Dr. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial will follow the service at First Baptist Church Huntersville Cemetery.
