A northern Iredell County resident faces felony drug charges following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of William David Lambert, 33, who lives off Damascus Church Road, in a news release.
ICSO narcotics investigators began an investigation in January after receiving information about the possibility that Lambert was distributing crystal methamphetamine in the area, Campbell said.
Investigators conducted surveillance operations to confirm the information, and undercover investigators purchased crystal methamphetamine directly from Lambert while at his residence, according to the news release.
On February 29, ICSO personnel executed a search warrant at Lambert’s home. When the warrant was executed, Lambert was inside the residence.
Investigators seized crystal methamphetamine, and marijuana, along with two semi-automatic pistols, three long guns and an assortment of ammunition, according to the news release.
Lambert was arrested without incident and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with Felony Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Maintain a Vehicle or Dwelling for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, and Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance.
Magistrate R. Imes issued a $7,500 secured bond on these charges.
