Ralph “Bennett” Brown, 64, of Cleveland, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his residence. He was born on July 8, 1959, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Ralph and Emma “Sue” Sossamon Brown.

Mr. Brown was a former police officer, volunteer fireman, electrician, plant manager at Beltservice Corporation and retired as Building and Grounds Superintendent from the Town of Mooresville. He was a member and Past Master of Campbell Masonic Lodge #374 A.F. & A.M in Troutman and Williams Masonic Lodge #176 A.F. & A.M. in Cornelius. He enjoyed BBQing, camping, fishing, coaching softball, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many family members.

Bennett is survived by his wife, Cheryl Perry Brown; daughter, Jennifer Brown; stepson, Charlie Culler (Christi); sister, Cathy Seipel; brothers, Jackie Brown (Darlene), and Scott Brown (Donna); grandchildren, Alexis (Noah), Anna, Emma, Zack, Damion, Noah, and Zeke; long-time family friend, Latoya “Jubba”; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Campbell Masonic Lodge #374, 130 E Church St, Troutman, NC 28166.
