The Cool Springs Volunteer Fire Department conducted a live burn training on Saturday on a structure that was donated to the department for training purposes. Members of the Department were able to train on different fire scenarios for several hours before the structure was deemed unsafe and burned down.

These training exercises allow fire fighters to come as close to a structure fire in a semi-controlled environment and experience the heat and the negative visibility while finding the fires and extinguishing them. The training was under the command of Chief Andy Webster.
