Christine Marjorie James, 90, who was known as Margie/Marjorie, departed this life peacefully on April 7, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital with her family members, including her son, at her side. She was born on August 17, 1933, in Statesville, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Summers. She was married to Clement R. James, who preceded her in death; alon with a brother, Frank Reaves; and a sister, Sarah Graham.

Marjorie received her education at Morningside High School. She was a long-time, faithful member of First Greater Living Missionary Baptist Church. Marjorie enjoyed singing, attending church services, watching old Western shows, and solving seek & find word puzzles.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Carlton and Carol James; two grandchildren, Isaac and Nichole Preston; four great-grandchildren; brother, William Frank Frost; and numerous nieces, nephews, and church family.
