Patricia Christopher Heavner, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 17, 1946, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Zeffie and Lucy Blackwelder Christopher.

Mrs. Heavner loved being a homemaker and raising her children. She attended Shiloh Methodist Church in Concord. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and sewed suits for NASCAR drivers. Mrs. Heavner collected Elvis and Kenny Rogers memorabilia, and loved making people happy and being the “neighborhood mom.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Heavner; daughter, Patricia Keller; and brother, Joe Christopher.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Heavner and Jamie Heavner; sister, Barbara Smith and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Dalton Keller, Kimberly Keller, and Joseph A. Heavner Jr.; great grandchildren, Hayden Keller and Stevie Rae Brown; and niece, Renee Smith.

A private graveside service will be held at Glenwood Memorial Park in Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
