Virginia “Kay” Woodell Stogner, 71, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 7, 1952, in Raleigh, N.C., to the late Kit Carson Woodell Jr. and Marion Virginia Matthews Woodell.
Kay was a member of Meadowlake Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, where she taught preschool. She enjoyed going to the beach and bowling. Christmas and Easter were her favorite holidays. Kay always put everyone else before herself. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, for they meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish Kay’s memory are her loving husband of 37 years, Steven Stogner; daughters, Brittany Bell and husband Corie, Jennifer Seagle and husband Justin; brother, Larry Woodell and wife Carol Ann; grandchildren, Kellan Ash Bell and Eliza Rose Bell; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephew.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
