Roy William Brannon, 74, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House. He was born December 20, 1949, in Mooresville, to the late James Albert Brannon and Essie Mae Russ Brannon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Ray Brannon, and his four-legged son, Gunner.

Roy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Rangers. He obtained an associate degree from Mitchell Community College. He loved riding his horse, Katie. He was an electrician before his retirement.

Roy is survived by his wife, Terri Parker Brannon; and children, Jade and Hailey Brannon.

Roy will be interred in Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors during a private family ceremony.
