She was married to Jerry Edward Plyler of Statesville for 32 years and raised two sons. She was also an active volunteer at the Statesville Pregnancy Resource Center for a number of years and had a deep love for children.

She was blessed with two great grandchildren as well, Toby Plyler and Jensen Plyler, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Friends of PRC Statesville at https://friendsofprcstatesville.org/donate/.
Phyllis lived a life full of love for the Lord and all people. Her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a legacy that her family and friends will carry forward, and the effects of her smile and life will be felt for decades to come.
Nicholson Funeral Home is honored to serve the Plyler family.
It is with much sadness to learn of Phyllis’ passing. She was such a good friend to many of the women at the church and was such a joy for all in her presence. It was always a joy to hear Phyllis and her sister Carol sing together. I hope she has been welcomed by loved ones who went before and feels the love of the ones she left behind. She was such a pure example of
Living for Christ and to represent Christ to all she encountered. Rest in Peace, Phyllis. I pray to be in your attendance again soon. Your memories will be loved, and you will be missed. We, as your friends, hope to be with you in a better place soon.
