Constance Cummings Carey, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. She was born on August 19, 1948, in Pennsylvania, to the late John and Lois Dame Cummings.

Constance earned her master’s degree in administration, UNWV, and undergraduate at Nova University. She enjoyed boating, sports, especially the Carolina Panthers, and the Kentucky Derby.

Constance loved her family and was a wonderful mother and loving wife of 46 years.

Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Elizabeth “Liza” Ziel. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jan Cummings.

Those left to cherish Constance’s memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Todd Carey; children, Brandon Ziel, and Sara O’Malley (Rob); granddaughter, Elizabeth “Liza” Ziel.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
