Adam Keith Morrow, 34, walked into heaven on Thursday, May 9, 2024, with his head held high, eyes wide open, talking and laughing as he met his Savior and family. Adam was born on October 13, 1989, in Iredell County sharing his birthday with his grandfather, David Lockman, and aunt, Lee Ann Harris.
Adam attended Iredell Developmental Day Care until he was 8 and then he was home schooled for the remainder of his education.
Left to cherish his memory and to keep him forever in their hearts are his parents, Tim D. Hicks and Linda Lockman Hicks; his brothers, Matthew Hicks, and Derrick Hicks (Ashley); maternal grandparents, David and Laura Lockman; and paternal grandparents, James and Pearl Hicks. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Deb Cheek (Jeff), Lee Anne Harris (Dennis), Brenda Hicks, Thomas Hicks, Arthur Hicks, Sandra Walker (Maurice), and Angie Hicks, and special grandma and caregiver of 18 years, Lucy Johnson.
Family waiting to embrace Adam as he entered heaven were his grandparents, Edwin and Marlene Morrow; uncle, James G. Hicks; and adopted grandpa and forever friend, Eugene “Buster” Johnson.
Other surviving family members are Dale K Morrow, Kim Evans (Stephen), Darrell Morrow (Taryn), and special great aunt, Phyllis Deal.
Funeral services will be held at Diamond Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Carl Williams and Rev. Larry Holleman officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. at Diamond Hill Baptist Church. A private burial officiated by cousin, Rev. Chris M. Alford, will be held at Troutman Historical Cemetery.
