Tony Lee McLeoud, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

He was born on December 28, 1948, in High Point, N.C., to the late Howard “Mac” and Margaret Glidewell McLeoud. Mr. McLeoud was a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was very compassionate about music. Mr. McLeoud loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his fur baby, Lucy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth McLeoud; and his grandmother, Elsie Mae McLeoud.

He is survived by his wife, Kat Christopher; daughters, Angie Cates (Jamie) and Brandy Hedrick; sister, Tonya Davis; and granddaughters, Emily Blaylock, Morgan Cates, and Ashlee Downing.

Per Tony’s request, a private graveside service will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the nurses on the Sticu Floor at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, 1000 Blythe Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28203.
