A Statesville man faces charges in multiple jurisdictions after being arrested by Troutman Police Department officers in connections with a residential break-in.

The TPD announced the arrest of Landon Lee Meadows, 25, in a news release Thursday.

Troutman officers responded to a report of a breaking and entering in progress on West Thomas Street on Wednesday.

Arriving officers observed that the door from the garage into the home had been forced open, according to the news release. Officers conducted a search of the residence, but did not locate a suspect at that time.

A TPD K9 team responded to the scene and conducted a track from the residence into a wooded area behind the home, police said. The K9 led officers to a campsite, where items taken from the home were located, along with information identifying Meadows as the suspect, according to the news release.

Officers spoke with Iredell County Sheriff’s Office investigators and confirmed that Meadows was the suspect in several similar incidents in their jurisdiction and that they had outstanding warrants for Meadows’ arrest. The Statesville Police Department also had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

An investigator with the TPD Criminal Investigations Unit obtained warrants for Meadows’ arrest on breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

A short time after the break-in on West Thomas Street officers responded to a report of a subject matching Meadows’ description in the area of West Thomas Street and Wagner Street, according to the news release.

Meadows was located by an officer and taken into custody without incident. He was taken before a magistrate, where all of the outstanding warrants were served. Meadows’ bond was set at $140,000.
