Overseer Andrea Lucille Knox Roseboro, beloved daughter of the late Eugene Marshall and Ada Knox Marshall, was born in Iredell County on February 11, 1953. She departed this life at her residence on Monday, February 10, 2020.
She graduated from Morningside High School and attended Mitchell Community College, where she received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Andrea was an overseer and pastor of Interfaith Deliverance Ministries, a former director at Harris Park, a member of SAVE (Sisters Against Violence Everywhere), the NAACP, and a member of Christian Outreach.
Andrea was preceded in death by two husbands, Harry Bridges Jr. and Charles Wesley Roseboro; a son, William Satterfield Jr.; a grandmother, Elizabeth Knox; and a grandmother who raised her, Odessa McClain.
She leaves to cherish the blessings and memories of her life four daughters, Jacqueline (Leonard) King of Statesville, Leslie Griffin of Statesville, Regina Hartgrove of Charlotte, and Shenita Bridges of Statesville; her siblings, Claudia Mashall Brown (Anthony) of San Antonio, Texas, Priscilla Cherry of Atlanta, Ga., Eugene Stockton of Virginia, and Mary Scott, Albert Scott and Lori Crosby, all of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Christian Outreach of the Piedmont. Overseer Roseboro will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 11:30 a.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12 until 1 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of her daughter, Regina Dionne Hartgrove, 6729 Riva Ridge Court, Charlotte, N.C.
