After a brief illness, Gail Boan Barnes got her heavenly healing on June 15, 2024. She was born on October 28, 1955, in Iredell County, N.C., and grew up surrounded by love from her late mother, Nellie Malcolm Boan, and dad, James Earl Boan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her biological father, Judson D. Alley; brother, Dennis Alan Boan; and niece, Claire Boan.
A graduate of Statesville High School, Gail went on to have a successful career in Sales Management, which allowed her to travel nationwide. In her fashionably late fashionista style, Gail was always full of life and was the very example of a strong, independent woman.
To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her daughter, Amanda Jarrell, and grandson, Levi Jarrell; sister, Susan Boan Troutman (Rev. David); brother, Edward Boan (Robin); cherished nephew and niece, Jake Troutman (Shantel) and Dana Troutman Sain (Harold); as well as other loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to family, she will also be deeply missed by many close friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Gail’s life will be held at Fallstown Baptist Church, Troutman, N.C., on Thursday, June 20, 2024. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m., with the service to follow at 4 p.m., with Dr. Rev. David Troutman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fallstown Baptist Church.
Troutman Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
