Frances Lynn Calhoun Cole, 74, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.
Francis was born on September 7, 1949, in Fayetteville, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Leon and Vila Autry Calhoun. She was a graduate of Hope Mills High School, Greensboro College, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was married in Fayetteville, N.C., on July 19, 1970, to Donnie Ray Cole, who preceded her in death in 2000. Francis was a retired dental hygienist and was a member of First Baptist Church in Statesville. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, traveling, knitting, and cooking.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Steven Calhoun of Fayetteville, N.C.
She is survived by a son, Jason David Cole (Melanie) of Statesville, N.C.; her daughter, Jennifer Cole Craig (Ryan) of Morrisville, N.C.; one granddaughter, Grace Rae Cole of Statesville, N.C.; and two grandsons, Anderson Hunt Craig and Cole Franklin Craig, both of Morrisville, N.C.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating.

Frances was a special lady. My husband, Mike Bullock, was good friends with Don. Frances was a few years older than me, but still was someone I could call my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort.
