Charles Stephen Jolly, 78, of Hiddenite, N.C.,  passed away very peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Thursday, July 4, 2024, after an extended illness. Steve was born June 27, 1947, in Alexander County to the late Charles Aaron Jolly and Aileen Millsaps Jolly.

After retiring as a certified public accountant, he started a Japanese maple tree farm. He was an avid fisherman who fished the many streams, lakes and oceans of North Carolina and South Carolina. He was a believer of the Christian faith. He loved the outdoors and all of God’s creations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one beloved son, Benjamin Matthew Jolly; aunts and uncles; and sweet Lilly Cook.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Susan Jolly of the home; one son, Daniel Stephen Jolly of Taylorsville, N.C.; two daughters, Kimberley Carrol Manuel and husband Jeffrey of Statesville, N.C., and Elizabeth Cheryle Ward and husband Tony of Hiddenite; three sisters, Kaye Jolly of Taylorsville, Gail Hubbard and husband Gene of Taylorsville, and Renee Jolly Williams of Hiddenite; and six grandchildren, Brianna, Lily, Joshua, Abriella, Justin and Jacob.

Memorials may be given to Hospice off Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville NC 28625.
