Cindy Michelle Gardner, 52, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at her residence.

She was born on September 10, 1971, in Iredell County, N.C., to Robbie and Mickie Hayes Gardner. Cindy attended Mooresville High School. She enjoyed gardening and cooking, and she loved animals. She was funny and kind, and she loved her children more than anything. She will be remembered as a woman of faith and a woman who loved to take care of others around her. She left a mark on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robbie Eugene Gardner

In addition to her parents, Robbie and Mickie Hayes, she is survived by her husband, Dean McHargue; children, Joseph E. Hastings Jr.; granddaughter, Kyla June Davis; Haley Bales; sister, Becky Brown and husband Matt; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.
