Royce Leon Dagenhart, 89, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away July, 14, 2024, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C., following a brief illness. He was born in Iredell County on January 11, 1935, to the late William Everette Dagenhart and Bessie Mae Waugh Dagenhart.

He was a brick mason and a member of Stony Point Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, racing and construction.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Era Irene Finney Dagenhart of the home; three sonsm, Mike Dagenhart of Stony Point, William Dagenhart of Stony Point and Jeff Fox of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Bonnie Kilmeyer of Advance, N.C., Shellie Brown of Stony Point, and Donna Scofield of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Alta Gaines of Stony Point; and eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Stony Point Methodist Church. Pastor Mickey Moree will officiate. The family suggests that family and friends wear fishing, racing and construction attire. There will be no formal visitation.
