Cory Alexander Jolley, 30, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his home.

Cory was born in Statesville on August 9, 1993, to Robert Andrew “Andy” Jolley and Susan Patterson Jolley. He graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., with his bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He loved everything outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and going to the Outer Banks.

Those left to cherish the life and memory of Cory are his fur baby, Trixie; his parents, Andy and Susan Jolley; siblings, Adam and wife Crystal and Staci and husband Ryan; nieces and nephews, Calvin, Parker and Emmalynn; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Troutman Funeral Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. The family asks that you dress as casual and come to celebrate Cory the way he would want.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Carolina Coastal Federation, 3609 NC 24, Newport, NC 28570.
