Edwin Jones Cummings Stillman Jr., 76, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
He was born on September 11, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late Edwin and Nellie Stalford Stillman. Mr. Stillman was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He lived in the Pennsylvania area for 68 years before moving to Mooresville eight years ago to be close to family. He had a very fulfilling career, as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. Edwin enjoyed boating, watching the Phillies, and watching his grandkids play sports; he was very passionate about his family and his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Hobbs.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Amy Leopold Stillman; sons, Edwin Stillman (Victoria), David Stillman (Brendon), and Michael Stillman (Mindy); and grandchildren, Samantha, Joshua, Madelyn, Trevor, and Alex.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Gipe officiating.
