Patricia Ann Goins Blackwelder, 75, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 16, 1949, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Neil and Irene Freeland Goins.

Mrs. Blackwelder was retired from Regions Bank and later enjoyed volunteering at Glenwood Rehab and Nursing, formerly Genesis Eldercare in Mooresville. She was a member of Broad Street Church in Mooresville. Mrs. Blackwelder loved gardening, sewing, cooking, working with children, and, most importantly, her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Neil A. Goins Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry Blackwelder; son, Bryan Blackwelder and wife Jessica; sister, Natalia “Faye” Sines; and grandchildren, Elijah and Grace Blackwelder.

A Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at Glenwood Memorial Park with Rev. Gary Sowell officiating.
