Mary Frances Floyd Stultz, known as “Mama Mary” by many, 85, of Mount Ulla, N.C., walked into the arms of Jesus completely healed on Saturday, August 3, 2024. She was at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 6, 1938, in Charlotte, N.C., to the late Robert Lawrence Floyd and Margaret Miller Floyd Morris. She was retired from Duke Energy. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Mooresville, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Stultz loved to cook and feed her family fried chicken and her famous sour cream pound cake. She was a very funny and spunky lady who made people laugh wherever she was. She was the life of the party, and everyone enjoyed being around her. She had a true social life and loved going on outings with the Heaven Bound Saints. Some of her favorite things were going to church, mowing her yard, and watching Westerns. She was loved by all and will be truly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Washington Stultz; son, Mark Stultz; sisters, Peggy Shumaker and Margaret Wright; and granddaughter, Isabella Stultz.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Russ (Danny), Eddie Brown (Spanky), Scottie Brown (Kim), Mary Ellen Campbell-Wheeler (Eddie), David Stultz (Jennifer); grandchildren, Joshua Russ (Tammy), Jacob Russ (Haven), Eryn Russ Turner (Scott), Jerod Brown (Weston), Sarah Brown Mullett (Shawn), Gracie Brown, Elyse Campbell Woodruff (Tim), Katy Campbell, Lucas Campbell, Victoria Stultz (Smoke), Duncan Stultz, Thayden Stultz, Ashlyn Wood, Ayden Wood, Abigail Bott, Amanda Jelsemas (Casey), and Ryan Stultz (Persida); 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; best friend and sister from another mother, Fran Oliphant; special former daughter-in-law, Mia Holshouser; and her beloved fur baby, Sophie.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 8, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with a service following at 4:30 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Graham officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
