Boyd Lincoln Anderson, 99, of Statesville, N.C., passed away August 3, 2024, after a short-term illness at Gordon Hospice House. Boyd was born January 9, 1925, in Iredell County to the late Lutcher Byne Anderson and Sally Mae Wooten Anderson.
He was a farmer and a member of Beulah Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59½ years, Neomia Dellinger Anderson; one son, Coyte Anderson; three brothers, Marvin Anderson, Charlie Anderson and Branson “BB” Bine; and one sister, Dorothy Black.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Anderson and wife Linda of Statesville, Donald Anderson and wife Nancy of Statesville, and Joe Anderson and wife Teresa of Statesville; one daughter, Wanda Lentz and husband Danny Sr. of Statesville; six grandchildren, Danny Jr., David Lentz, Kevin Anderson, Chad Anderson, Matthew Anderson and Tim Anderson; nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Beulah Baptist Church in Statesville at 2 p.m. Rev. Robert Garette will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military rites. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Danny Jr. Lentz, David Lentz, Jacob Lentz, Chad Anderson, Kevin Anderson and Tim Anderson.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 and Beulah Baptist Church, 1851 Old Mountain Road, Statesville NC 28677.
