Ferdinand Roman Rivera, 76, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He was born on May 17, 1948, in Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Adelo and Maria Concepcion Roman.

Before his retirement, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Ferdinand is survived by seven children, Agnes Roman, Marian, Glezette Boria, Elsie (Awilda Santiago) Roman, Ferdinand (Lisa Haire) Roman, Maritza Roman, and Jennyfer Cintron; as well as by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three sisters, Lucy, Adelaida, and Ada, and one brother, Jaime, also survive, along with several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time per his wishes.
