Henry Arthur Bowell, 82, of Mooresville, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

He was born on May 27, 1937 in Scranton, Pa., to the late Freece and Jane White Bowell. Mr. Bowell was retired from IBM in the banking division. He was a board member of the South Iredell Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Mornard Bowell; sister, Betty Difelice; brother, James Bowell; and son-in-law, Billy Ray Rowton.

He is survived by his children, Chris Rowton, George Moffat and wife Donna, Brian Moffat and wife Debbie, Kathleen Kitchens and husband Kurt, Henry Bowell and wife Darlene, and Francis Bowell and wife Clara; grandchildren, James Rowton, Michael Rowton, Thomas Moffat, Todd Moffat, Kathleen Moffat, Tyler Moffat, Kyndra Heck, Kaylee Tucker, Zachary Bowell, Kevin Ledoux, Christian Ledoux, Caleb Ledoux, and Carmen Ledoux; and seven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William “Beau” Wagner officiating. Burial will be held at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
