It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Diana Fay Jashinski, 81, on August 14, 2024, after a battle with cancer. Diana was born in Shamokin, Pa., on August 26, 1942, to the late Gilbert and Peggy Skoskie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her older brother, Gilbert Skoskie, and her younger sister, Marlene Poland.

Diana was a long-time resident of Statesville and a devoted member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born with a kind and compassionate spirit. Diana spent her life caring for those she loved. Her greatest joy came from her family and watching sports, often very vocally.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of many years, Stanley Jashinski; and their three children, Karen Morey (Steve), Scott Jashinski (Kathy), and Colette Chenault (Shaun). She was also the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, Dane and Danielle Morey, Alex and Kaitlyn Jashinski, and Ethan and Jack Chenault, all of whom brought her immense happiness and pride.

Diana’s presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
