In observance of Labor Day, all City of Statesville offices will be closed on Monday, September 2. This closure includes the Statesville Fitness & Activity Center and its Administrative Offices.

Revised Garbage Collection Schedule

There will be no garbage collection on Monday, September 2. The following revised schedule will be in effect for the week of September 2-6:

♦ Residential Routes: Monday’s routes will be collected on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday’s routes will be collected on the regular schedule.

♦ Commercial Routes: Monday and Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday’s routes will operate on the regular schedule.

City Council Meeting

There will be only one City Council meeting in September, scheduled for Monday, September 16. This meeting will include a session for public comment.

Facility Closures and Special Hours

♦ The Statesville Fitness & Activity Center, including the Administrative Offices, will be closed on September 2.

♦ The Statesville Leisure Pool will be open on September 2 for two swim sessions, weather permitting:
Session 1: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Session 2: 4 to 8 p.m.

Each session is limited to 300 patrons, with entry on a first-come, first-serve basis.

♦ The Bentley Community Center Splash Pad will be open on September 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
