Brian Keith Cites, 62, of Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marshall County, Ind., on August 6, 1962, to the late Lewis Cites and Darlene Hutchins Cites.

Brian enjoyed being outdoors, especially sitting on the porch. He also enjoyed fishing, rock mining, watching hockey and Fox News.

Survivors include his wife, Liane Curlee Cites; a daughter, Janessa Vegso; two grandchildren, Sierra Ann Kellogg and Emma Ann Kellogg; and three sisters, Linda Komon (Harold), Michelle Annis (Denver), and Becky Shepherd.

Private services will be held. Donations may be made at nicholsonfunerals.com to help offset funeral costs.
