Philip Steven “Steve” Church, 60, of Statesville, N.C., died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following an extended illness.

He was born in Iredell County, N.C., on June 22, 1964, to Ruth Ann Moore Church and the late Larry Steve Church.

Steve was a 1982 graduate of West Iredell High School. He drove a truck for 17 years and owned and operated All American Tree Service prior to his illness. He was a member of Fallstown Baptist Church. Steve had a big heart and loved helping others. He loved fishing, hot rods, and cooking. He was loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of five and a half years, Jan Barkley Church; a son, Philip “Andy” Church; a daughter, Bethany; two sisters, Lisa Bumgarner (Phil) and Tammy Church (Shane); and his dog, Henry.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Fallstown Baptist Church with Pastor David Troutman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fallstown Baptist Church, PO Box 1035, Troutman, NC 28166.
